Benefits Services Manager
BENEFITS SERVICES MANAGER
Pay range: $ 95,000 - $115,000
HealthTrust seeks an enthusiastic leader to deliver exceptional account support and service to Member Groups and covered individuals through a multi-disciplinary team providing contact center support, account management functions and member relations/marketing for an employee benefits risk pool. The position has primary responsibility for comprehensive account management and timely, accurate phone and electronic support for Member Groups and Covered Individuals with regard to all of the benefits and services provided by HealthTrust. Position also has responsibility for engaging new Member Groups and maintaining relationships with professional associations representing Members and HealthTrust sponsored events.
- Be responsible for day-to-day supervision of the Benefits Services Department and overall department operations while fostering a positive, success-oriented, accountable culture within the teams. Evaluates employee work performance and coordinates training and cross-training on policies and procedures.
- Serves as an organizational expert in assisting Member Groups and Covered Individuals with escalated benefit and service issues of an unusual and complex nature. Ensures that the most challenging issues are resolved successfully, and with a high level of external satisfaction.
- Identify specific needs of Member Groups in order to propose cost-effective, high quality employee benefits and coverage options
- Primarily responsible for the planning, program development and implementation of HealthTrust’s public events.
- Ensure consistent delivery of education and support to Member Groups and their employees about available benefit and service programs offered by HealthTrust
- Gathers information from various sources about marketplace trends; assists with development and implementation of new products and services in conjunction with internal and external sources.
- Prepare and review reporting to be available to Member Groups in order for them to understand cost drivers and utilization impacts
- Provide extensive on-site and virtual visits within NH, written and telephonic responses to inquiries, and presentation of informational and educational sessions to Member Groups, covered individuals, union groups, and at other association or conference events.
The position requires broad knowledge of employee benefits including Health, Dental, Life, Long-Term and Short-term Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Health Reimbursement Accounts. The ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally is essential. Experience with developing and delivering effective presentations is a core requirement of this position and as such, the ideal candidate should be a comfortable and confident public speaker. Expertise in Microsoft Office products, in particular Word and Excel is also required.
Qualifications:
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a focus on marketing or communications, business or public administration, or a risk management related field. An advanced degree in a similar field is highly desired. Also required is prior work experience of at least five years in a responsible position involving marketing, business, or public administration.
Knowledge or previous experience in public risk pools, health insurance, local government operations and contacts.
