Our Support Teams and Resources
- Our Contact Center – Real people! No chat bots. No computer-generated voices. Contact Center Representatives are highly trained, knowledgeable and ready to answer your questions Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30 EST, by phone, email, or secure online message. From claims advocacy to ID cards, they are here to help!
- Our Enrollment Representatives provide Covered Individuals and Member Group Benefits Administrators with smooth, accurate, timely enrollment processing.
- Our Ancillary Services Representatives are experts in our Benefit Advantage flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement arrangements, and life and disability benefits.
- Our Benefits Advisors work closely with the CEOs and Benefits Administrators at our Member Groups to inform them about the plan options available and the resources provided to administer them. They can analyze claim reports to help Members understand cost drivers and utilization patterns, and recommend steps to contain costs. They support their assigned Member Groups daily by helping resolve claim issues, answering questions, and informing Members, Enrollees, and/or unions about their employee benefits and resources.
- Our Wellness Advisors are experts in well-being and collaborate with our Members – including more than 300 Wellness Coordinators around the state – to create a culture of wellness at their worksites and throughout their communities. Wellness Advisors can analyze claim and Well-Being program reports and recommend strategies to help your employees achieve optimum health. They can educate your employees on Well-Being programs and provide onsite and virtual health-related trainings.
- Behind the scenes, our Legal Services Team and Technology Services Team ensure we comply with the laws and regulations that govern our industry and safeguard the protected health information of our Enrollees. Our secure portals for Enrollees, CEOs, Benefits Administrators, and Wellness Coordinators offer 24/7 easy access to all the benefit resources you and your employees need while utilizing the latest technological tools for keeping Protected Health Information secure.
- Our Engagement Team: Keeping our Member Groups and Covered Individuals informed and engaged is our main focus. We welcome your ideas for the best ways to serve your Group.
- Our Financial Services Team understands that it’s not our money we manage and protect here – it’s yours, and we take that responsibility to heart. As a nonprofit organization, we are focused on delivering comprehensive coverage lines while containing costs. We partner with an independent actuary to ensure your Member Group’s contributions are managed responsibly and with full transparency.

Meet the HealthTrust Leadership Team
The HealthTrust Leadership Team members bring many years of industry experience and expertise to the organization, and are passionate about helping our Members, Covered Individuals, and New Hampshire’s entire public sector. They work together with the HealthTrust Board of Directors to set strategic goals for the organization and lead the team in achieving those goals and fulfilling our mission.
Scott DeRoche has served as the Executive Director of HealthTrust since March 2024. Scott started his HealthTrust career in 2012 as a Benefits Advisor, served as Assistant Manager of Vendor and Ancillary Services from 2013-2019, and was the Member and Enrollee Services Manager for three years before moving into the role of Acting Deputy Director in July 2023. Prior to joining HealthTrust, Scott worked at UnitedHealthcare where he trained teams in customer service and many of the technical aspects of the health insurance industry, such as benefits, claims, plan design, and regulatory issues. His educational background includes earning a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor of Science degree in Community and International Development from the University of Vermont.
George Tsiopras joined HealthTrust in 2013 and serves as Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), providing executive leadership on all financial, operational and strategic issues for the organization. He brings decades of financial management experience to HealthTrust having previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accountant for the State of New Hampshire Liquor Commission from 1999-2013 and as an Audit Manager and Financial Auditor with the New Hampshire Office of Legislative Budget Assistant from 1994-1999. George’s educational background includes earning a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. He has been a Certified Public Accountant in New Hampshire since 1997.
Jeanne Herrick joined HealthTrust in 2022 as General Counsel, providing legal services on a wide range of issues and overseeing legal affairs, risk management and compliance. Prior to joining HealthTrust, she served as Policy Director for the Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief and Recovery, and from 2013 to 2020 she was Legal Counsel for the Community College System of New Hampshire. Her early law career included positions with the New Hampshire Department of Justice serving as Counsel to the Department of Health and Human Services, New Hampshire Supreme Court serving as a Law Clerk, and as a Staff Attorney with the New Hampshire Public Defender. Jeanne’s educational background includes earning a Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Franklin Pierce School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education from UNH. She has served on numerous boards and volunteer committees and currently is serving on the New Hampshire Bar Association Committee on Cooperation with the Courts and the New Hampshire Supreme Court Rules Advisory Committee.
Jason Kalgren has been serving as HealthTrust’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) since June 2023. He recently led the initial Salesforce implementation as a core system for enrollment and billing, and now plays an application architect role in its continuing expansion. He began his career at HealthTrust in 2018 as Data and Reporting Manager. His career has focused on the information technology industry and he gained substantial experience with healthcare data at Vitals as director of data management from 2014-2018, and in several roles including director of business intelligence systems at Health Dialogue from 2009-2014. Jason’s educational background includes earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Lynne Turmel joined HealthTrust in May 2024 and serves as Director of Risk Pool Operations, overseeing three departments: Operational Services, Benefit Services and Well-Being. Prior to working at HealthTrust, she was Director of Marketing at Emergence Health Holdings, the entity formed by a merger of ClearChoiceMD and CareWell Urgent Care. From 2014-2022, Lynne served as the Marketing Administrator for New Hampshire Electric Cooperative and previously held marketing roles with Emerson Ecologics and Impact 21 Group. Her diverse experience also includes serving as Director of Innovation and Development with Irving Oil. Lynne’s educational background includes earning a Master of Business Administration degree from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Regis College.
